The Pieman headed off to Bangor On Dee this afternoon for National Hunt Racing. Pictured above is Wymott being led out by Ginger McCain's son, Donald and ridden by Jason Maguire. This combination provided a winner to finish off an excellent day.
The promised sunshine never materialised and with a biting wind it was extremely cold.The drying conditions meant a number of non runners. So whilst the quality of horse talent on show may have be questionable the racing was not.
A few of the Piemans selections ran well enough to justify inclusion in a Pie. However some judicious choices resulted in a healthy profit after all expenses were taken into account. A most enjoyable afternoon out, even with no Pie found.
