Deeerstalker Pie, Pieminister Pies

Deerstalker Pie, Minty Mushy Peas and Red Wine Gravy

From the Manchester branch of Pieminister Pies we also selected the Deerstalker Pie, "A British venison, dry cured bacon, red wine & puy lentil pie".  To this was  added minty mushy peas and then covered in their red wine gravy. It was a moment before I started eating it, as it looked so beautiful!

The pastry was great, and the filling/ingredients were excellent. The added touch of the peas and gravy made this a meal in itself and a great tasting session. Can't wait to go back and try some more. We will give this an 8.9/10.

Heidi Pie, Pieminister Pies

Heidi Pie - Pieminister

"A Somerset goats’ cheese, sweet potato, spinach & red onion pie" according the menu and excellent it was. Make no mistake  Pieminister Pies are not cheap but they have filling from the bottom to the top and taste to spare compares to most Pies. The taste was superb ( each ingredient was noticed) and the pastry (which looked good) was just right, holding the filling together but not heavy and dry.

This was an easy 9/10 and have no hesitation in recommending it to you.

Pieminister Pies: Manchester

Pieminister Pies Manchester Northern Quater
What a delight to finally experience the edible offerings at a Pieminister Pies outlet. Two of the Pie tribe were wandering around Manchester and not far from Piccadily Gardens, on Church Street in the northern quarter, we find the restaurant.

Plenty of taste to choose from........
Staff were great, plenty to choose from, some offers, plenty of optional choices ,a reasonble selection of drinks and some nice puds. The service is good and the staff alert. It's not a huge place but comfortable and enjoyable. We'll be going again soon hopefully. Nice one Pieminister Pies.

Hard to argue against .......
