No thats not a reference to the Pieman's four wheel chariot but a tribute to Penyffordd Pie maker and Champion sausage maker Mr Steve Vaughan.He has recently won this title organised by the Meat Trades Journal and beat off 23 other finalists from around the UK. This was his fourth attempt and the Pieman can testify to the quality of his produce having sampled a few!!
December also saw Mr Vaughan introduce a seasonal Pie to his repertoire, a Pork Pie with Stuffing, which we can recommend. Having sent staff on a recent trade mission to Poland we eagerly await signs of this continental influence!!
